“Schlechtestes Beispiel.”

Dear Sir or Madam, I am making a claim due to serious travel deficiencies during my stay at your property. The problems identified, which I already reported on site and requested remedy for, were neither resolved nor adequately compensated. Defect description: • Repeated power outages caused the electric front door to be unusable at times and the air‑conditioning to fail. An electrician was only reachable after hours of waiting, which, with outdoor temperatures over 30 °C in June, is a significant limitation. • A permanent emergency light was installed, remained on continuously, and could not be turned off. • The transfer service promised in the contract was not provided properly, but was only available for an additional fee of €30 for about 2 km. • The hotel is inconvenient for pedestrians; the walk to the city centre takes roughly 30 minutes, with parts lacking sidewalks along the road, or alternatively a taxi for about 30 minutes. • The owner’s wife entered the hotel room multiple times without knocking or permission, a serious breach of privacy. • Standard hotel services such as towel changes or room cleaning were not offered or performed. • The coffee machine in the hallway was non‑functional throughout the stay, with no coffee capsules available. • There were an excessive number of large spiders and many other insects, exceeding tolerable limits. These deviations from the contractually guaranteed services constitute substantial defects under § 651i and § 536 BGB. The stay was significantly impaired.

The room was large and fairly clean, with comfortable beds and excellent air‑conditioning, but we were told there was a private spot for parking our motorcycle, not on the street or in private parking tied with a rope; the building looked abandoned, nobody was around, we checked in ourselves without problems, the entrance smelled hot and closed, the kitchen area for breakfast lacked coffee cups, the carafe was dirty and the water in the machine had been there for a while, so we chose not to use anything.

The accommodation was completely different from what we expected. We did not like the location or the building at all, and we did not stay there. Please refund us the amount!

“Nicely renovated”

It was clean and comfortable, the hosts were helpful and accommodating, close to the beach and our destination at the port; the 12 of us fit nicely, and it was within walking distance to restaurants while the beach was just across the street. The AC in one room wasn’t working, making that room almost unusable despite its great view, and it was on a main street, which is good for access but also brings a lot of street noise at night.
