The food, the staff, and the proximity to the city of Heraklion were positives. The pools were cold, the mattress very soft, the room with an attached pool was never in the sun so unusable in October, and the penthouse room really isn’t a penthouse.

“Fantastic stay but beware of steps in your room.”

The food and facilities were outstanding. The staff were pleasant and polite but there is an exception mentioned below. Overall we had a fantastic stay and our rating would have been a 9 except for one issue. We were allocated a room (540) with a step in the middle of the room. Not by the door or somewhere obscure, but separating the room and the toilet facilities. If you need to go to the toilet in the dark you must remember the step else risk kicking it and falling in the dark or alternatively, sleep with the lights on. When we arrived 2 separate family members had been allocated that room and both declined it. One was offered it on the Tuesday and the other on the Wednesday around mid afternoon. We arrived on Wednesday early evening and were allocated that room. Later, I was informed by my brother that they were allocated the room I was supposed to get because our welcome letter was in his room and he gave it to me in my hand. When bringing this up with reception we were told that our family was lying but the receptionist did not realise that we were all there for the same wedding with different surnames. Then we were told they would call us to address the room issue and that call never came. It's a shame because the hotel, staff and facilities were great apart from this incident. Even when you exit the bathroom , if someone is making coffee at the facilities in the room , you need to be conscious there is a step there because if you step back you are going to topple over. It sounds trivial but as a person of a mature age, I don't want to be tripping and falling over this step in the middle of the night on the way to the facilities. I just wanted it addressed

I recommend the apartment with the shared pool. It offers more privacy and there’s nothing to complain about! The food tastes good and is varied. The beach is clean, with plenty of loungers. The staff are friendly and helpful. The surroundings where the hotel is located are rough, heading towards a power plant, a dirty river runs nearby, and everywhere is messy… the complex is basically better to leave. This was a big disappointment. The loungers by the regular pool were lacking. At dinner expect a queue; the restaurant’s capacity is insufficient.

“מלון טוב מאוד”

The staff were very polite, the pool and beach were great, and even though we stayed in August and the hotel was fully booked, it never felt crowded; overall, the value for the price was excellent. However, the dining room offered a wide variety of food that I didn't find very tasty, and the all‑included snack bar’s quality was not up to my standards; additionally, the bathroom lighting was insufficient and the shower itself was quite dim.

The resort was beautiful, clean, spacious, with perfect service and everyone was genuinely friendly. The kosher options were limited for us, but otherwise the selection was huge and every day featured different food. If you’re looking for a water park with many slides, this isn’t the place—there are very few slides and the children’s pool is really cold. The location is fairly remote, so I’d recommend renting a car because taxi fares aren’t cheap.
