It was crisp and clean, very cheap and straightforward, serving its purpose. The simple bedsheet, towel‑like blanket, and thin towel were the same as those I used as a child. Staying there evoked good old memories. The owner responded quickly.

The manager was very friendly and diligent. I chose the place because it was 15‑20 minutes by Grab from Penang or Butterworth central station, and only about 10 minutes from a service station where we caught a bus to Tanah Rata. There were several supermarkets and local restaurants nearby, in a quiet residential area. The Wi‑Fi connection didn't work properly and sometimes it's needed to plan the next leg of the trip.

The place was quiet, but the plug socket was broken, which felt a bit scary if you’re staying alone; otherwise, it was decent overall.

The facilities were fine, we really enjoyed our time here, access was super easy, and the owner was very friendly—highly recommended for anyone visiting Penang, Mantap. No negatives; the homestay was really good and comfy.
