The drive to the location was beautiful, and I loved the room—it was very quiet. The people were nice, especially the ladies who helped me with any questions. The only downside was the drive out the gate 😂😂

A great bed‑and‑breakfast in the Irish countryside, close to a very famous waterfall park. It’s an excellent spot for a nature walk, and the sunrise view from the cottage was fantastic.

I was greeted by Padraig, who welcomed me, John, and my dog Molly with a cup of tea, and the experience only improved from there. The bedroom turned out to be a self‑contained suite with a doggy area, and the views from Padraig’s house were stunning; we also trekked to the mystical Glenbarrow Waterfall through nearby woods. Afterwards we drove to Clonaslea, where we chose between three lively rural pubs and a local takeaway for chip supper. The bed was huge and we slept like babies, while the heating was set to toast us in the morning to keep us warm during the storm—Padraig assured us we wouldn’t even hear it. Breakfast was a true Irish affair at a large kitchen table, where we enjoyed local produce and the finest Irish butter while listening to Padraig’s hilarious tales of adventures near and far. We’ll definitely return. The only downside was the journey home.
