It was in a convenient area, with a spacious room and courteous staff. Parking cost 25 € next to the hotel, and there was a nice free shower, tea, water, a hairbrush, foam shampoo, body cream, wardrobe, a small sofa, and two chocolates. The pillows were uncomfortable and the mattress pinched our backs. Nobody informed us in advance that a spa and gym were also free. Paying 160 € per day plus 25 € for parking didn’t feel like good value.

“Lovely place to come home to when exploring Salzburg, don’t skip the breakfast buffet.”

The room was lovely, with a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was roomy and a small sofa‑stool at the bed’s end was handy for getting ready. From reception to the dining room, staff were genuinely friendly. The furnishings were elegant throughout the room and the whole property. The breakfast buffet was excellent, fresh, and tasty; the Eggs Benedict cooked to order was delicious. No faults to note.

A paradise for design‑loving cyclists who need a break from daily life yet don’t want to miss the city. The on‑site sauna is perfect for unwinding after intense workouts and recharging for the next days. The fully secured bike room is a big plus—both riders and their bikes find a nice spot. Breakfast offers everything one could wish for, leaving no desire unmet. I’ve stayed twice at Hirschen and it won’t be my last visit.
