The location made sightseeing super convenient, and the interior design was quirky and artistic, with plenty of interesting books that reflected the owner's taste.

Being very close to Matsue Castle and having a moderate amount of interaction with other guests were great. The free bicycle rental was a bonus. The bed was a futon that felt surprisingly fluffy, and the pillows and bedding were very comfortable and tactile; the private area was quite spacious. The downside was that the bath was just a shower, but there are day‑use hotels nearby and train‑accessible hot springs at Shijodako and Tamazuru, so people who want to try different baths might not mind.
