The location is quite good. There is mold in the rooms, and they try to cover the smell with strong fragrances.

A large, clean hotel with a superb pool and a modest gym; I had an amazing pad Thai, the kitchen stayed open until 5 pm, the bed was extremely comfortable and Netflix was available, and I can’t think of anything I didn’t like – truly a top hotel, the best I’ve experienced in Thailand.

They charged me 500 baht for a tiny red rose petal that left three small stains on the sheet, even though I suggested simply soaking and washing it; the rude receptionist said we had to wait for the soaking result, and when I agreed to wait two hours she then told us we needed to buy cleaning products and added another 300 baht because the dog had chewed the supplied flip‑flops, so I left to avoid a needless quarrel over a few coins. I had booked noting the dog would be with me, but that was ignored and we were soon moved to another room; the staff could really use a customer‑service training course.
