“I can recommend it”

The old‑school vibe of the hotel was a highlight, and the bathtub was a real plus. The mini‑bar was pricey, but it was still there.

The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the house was well run. The location isn’t very central, but I was already aware of that.

Breakfast was excellent, and the room was clean and comfortable with staff who were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay, and there was nothing to criticize.

“Great stay”

Location is great, close and walkable from the train station. Room is clean, fully air cond. Surprisingly there is radio in the bathroom which was very nice. Twin beds room is two single beds which was a bit small. Provides a kettle but no instant coffee or tea bags, and no complimentary water but you could drink tap water I suppose

“Very charming”

This hotel clearly values charm. Our room was very nice with plenty of space for our luggage. Even though its steps from downtown its very quiet. One is close to the river and the train station. The breakfast was wonderful with lots if choices and to my mind great coffee. The staff were very helpful, professional and more importantly just nice people. Helene in particular went way beyond to make us feel welcome and part of the family. She was also full of good advice about all things Saltzburg. We arrived a little stressed but she was able to see, understand and make it all go away. The other staff we dealt with were equally professional and clearly cared about the guests and the hotel.
