SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Gatlinburg

The front desk was run by a woman who swore a lot and was rude, and most of the staff didn’t speak English and were rarely at the front desk.

“Priced too much for a mediocre hotel. I will not be back.”

The sound of the creek was soothing, and the room was roomy, but ants were everywhere—in the sink, on the counter, and on the bathroom floor.

“It was a nice stay minus the shower. We loved the balcony view and got to see a Bear in the river. The staff were friend”

The location was nice; we booked reservations at the Peddler for our anniversary and it was a 2‑minute walk, which was a plus in heels. We walked to downtown Gatlinburg several times and it’s an easy walk as long as you don’t mind walking. Our shower had mildew around the sliding door, chips in the bottom, and the worst part was that it didn’t drain—so we had to shower quickly to avoid water spilling over the lip.

“We checked out & did not stay.”

The building felt old and dingy, the elevator was tiny and broke down after we were moved to the 7th floor, and as senior citizens we found bugs on the drapes and ceiling of the room.

“Good, budget, clean option when staying in the area.”

The location by the river is great, and we even saw bears nearby, but the breakfast buffet didn’t offer any gluten‑free options, so I had to bring my own.
