“Give this one a pass! Not a true Marriot”
I adored the view from our balcony on the sixth floor; it overlooked the beach and was close to many eateries, and a Starbucks was available during certain hours. The indoor salt‑water pool felt very soft and buoyant, though it could have been warmer. First impressions were awful because the staff were extremely rude. I tried to confirm my reservation—my address was listed as 37th North Beach—but Sabrina only addressed me, even after I introduced my sister as the payee. She processed all charges on her card without speaking to her or answering her questions. The parking fee was excessive, and she told me they don’t guarantee a spot, even though we pre‑paid for all six days and the room held 50 per day—wow! I wanted to pay those extra charges, but she ran everything on her card. She never spoke to my sister even once, not even while taking her card. The lip on the balcony door was so high it tripped us and made opening the door difficult. The room had only two tiny trash cans, and we were told no cleaning would be done until the middle of our stay, and that we had to reuse towels.
