The Hotel Metropole overlooks the Ligurian Sea, situated at the start of Santa Margherita Ligure's seaside promenade. It features a large park with outdoor pool, private beach, and modern wellness centre with heated saltwater pool. Rooms, divided between the main building and Villa Porticciolo, offer satellite TV, air conditioning, and some with private balcony or terrace, plus free Wi-Fi and beach access.

Very good overall, although charging for some small items feels excessive. No other comments.

The hotel is very well located, right on the sea, opposite the train station for trips to the Cinque Terre, and a 5‑minute walk to the ferry terminal. The riverside restaurant for lunch is very pleasant, delicious, and offers a magnificent view. It feels a bit old‑fashioned, though our room had been renovated with a very beautiful bathroom. The common areas are a little dated.

The location is unbeatable, the hotel is gorgeous, the beach is lovely, breakfast was wonderful and everything else was excellent.
