I found the hotel through Booking, booked the room in advance, and arrived in Samarkand the next day, but the owners refused to let me check in, claiming they don’t work with Booking. How could this happen? Who will take responsibility? Who will return my money, nerves, and time? I was traveling with women and children.

The hosts are friendly and welcoming, the room is clean, and pets are allowed. It’s quiet. Nearby, a bar street is just to the right, and if you go left you’ll find many cafés with various food options. Getting to attractions requires a taxi or car, but it’s not far.
