Dunbrody Country House Hotel

“Absolutely loved Dunbrody House.. will be back.. 5 star treatment!”

The hotel was stunning, with old‑world charm, gorgeous fabrics, wallpaper, art everywhere, a real fire in the lobby, modern bathrooms, and chandeliers in every corner. The countryside views were lovely and the spa offered fabulous massage treatments. The food was very good, and the young cocktail girl was excellent at her job. The ambience was relaxed yet luxurious, and the guests were friendly. The Harvest Room was not stuffy, but people did dress up for dinner. The Local had a relaxed, friendly vibe, tasty food, and beautiful creamy pints. Kevin D mingled with guests. The woodland walks around the hotel were excellent and well marked. A few young staff members were a bit slow to notice guests’ needs, forgot to bring items, and didn’t clear plates before serving the next course—a small quibble, really.

“Beautiful stay”

The place is beautiful and every staff member is excellent; we enjoyed a drink at the local fab gentleman, and Kevin was so lovely to meet up with.

“Great stay”

The food and staff were lovely, and the sauna was a highlight; the Gate Lodge was very comfortable. However, hosting a large group or conference made the communal spaces very noisy, which made it hard to relax in the evening with a drink.

“As abive”

We loved everything. The staff were friendly and professional, the food delicious, and the attention to detail was evident throughout the house. The addition of 'The Local' made it very enjoyable and relaxing for the weekend.
