Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Hempstead

“Very Not pleased. But made the best of it cause we had made reservations.”

We didn’t get any breakfast and the location was ok for the event we went. When we first got there to open the door it wouldn’t open. Something was wrong with the lock and key. There were 2 roaches crawling in the toilet. Refrigerator in the room didn’t work. The clock didn’t work. The towels were rough and not white they were like dinzie. The swimming was locked couldn’t use it

The staff had a pretty bad attitude, which was a major letdown. The presence of a nun on site was also a bit of an oddity.

“Stay far away, we left and lost money!”

Stay far, far away from this dump. The staff is completely unfriendly and unhelpful. They live on site, which is probably the reason why the place is infested with roaches. I checked in and was handed a key to a room that was literally next door to the one where a guest had just complained about seeing several roaches. I was greeted by two roaches at the entryway, which promptly scurried under the bed. When I asked for a refund, I was told that they don't do refunds.

I was a bit taken aback by the people smoking marijuana outside, and I was surprised that the room didn't have a long mirror. Despite that, the hotel itself was quite pleasant.

“Never to return”

This place was a real letdown. I was trying to be considerate and swap the top covers on our beds, but that's when I saw the stains and cigarette burns on my own blanket. It looked like it had been through a war - there were even what I thought were dead bugs or bug droppings on it. I didn't bother checking the sheets, just shook off whatever was on the cover and hoped for the best. But the problems didn't stop there - there was a dead June bug near the door and more dead bugs in the bathtub.
