“Remodeling was going on. But not an issue. Staff were accommodating.”

The spot was decent for the game, within walking distance of the mall, but far enough that I had to Uber to the host hotel and the stadium.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the place was clean. A cooling fan worked well while the AC was being fixed, but we couldn’t lock the windows.

“The Hotel Lucent is a beautiful "boutique hotel" in the heart of Menlo Park.”

We stayed at the Lucent twice on this trip. The first stay was 8 nights, 7/11-7/19, and the second was 2 nights, 7/31-8/2. The property and parking felt very safe and secure. As a coffee drinker, I appreciated the 24‑hour coffee service. The complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. Safeway is right next door! The location to Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital was very convenient; depending on traffic, door‑to‑door we could be there within 7 minutes. We also enjoyed the quick walk to all the fabulous restaurants and shopping on Main Street, Menlo Park. Eve and the entire team at Hotel Lucent made us feel at home (like family) during our stay. The firepit seating and spa/pool courtyard area is charming! The fitness center is set up just right for a quick workout. The room had a tendency to smell a little “damp” when you first walk in, adjusting to a higher humidity level.

“Great people; very low quality property.”

The location was great and the staff were really nice people. My room (which was supposedly a premium one) smelled really bad (like dirty and wet carpets that have created an almost unbearable stench). I had 5 other colleagues staying in other rooms of the same hotel who had the same complaint about bad smell in the rooms. Prices are not cheap for such a fundamental flaw that ruins the experience.
