The WB Abu Dhabi

“Fantastic little getaway!”

Great location. Rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable. The staff were fantastic! Huge shoutout to Mohammed and Frank! They were wonderful! The food was delicious. Honestly one of the best buffets I’ve had in a long time. The carpets in the room were very grubby and full of stains

It was lovely as always, with friendly staff and a great lobby. The kids’ pool and infinity pool were a hit, and there were character meet‑ups. My child enjoyed it. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were very friendly—shout out to Asma and Frank. The only downside was the lack of a tub; construction was ongoing, which disturbed my sleep as a light sleeper, though my husband and child slept through it. My child was startled and moved twice or something while asleep, with sudden loud thuds until 3‑4 am.

“This hotel is advertised as 5-star, priced accordingly, but it is closer to 3-star.”

The only positive about this hotel is the location next to WB Park and Yas Waterworld. The rooms are small and bathrooms tiny. The fancy looking radio in the room didn’t work, and the empty SMEG fridge made loud cracking noises every couple of minutes, so we had to unplug it. The poolside tables are wobbly and covered in layers of paint. Some chairs are broken, and all are dirty and covered in bird droppings. And the same Scooby-Doo cartoon played on a screen there on repeat! The breakfast restaurant is small and packed, even outside peak season. The buffet is acceptable for three-star, but disappointing for five-star. And of course nobody offered coffee or team - go fetch yourself. The handling of items keft in the room suns up the service. Several hours after checkout, while still at the hotel, I asked reception to find earphones left in our room. Despite asking them to check three times, I was repeatedly told nothing had been found. A few hours later, when we were already back in Dubai, they called to say they had found them - then asked us to arrange a courier and pay for delivery ourselves. After failing to locate the item while we were there, the least a five-star hotel could have done was offer to return them at its own expense. Making guests organise and pay for delivery after such poor handling shows little care for customers. Hardly a five-star attitude or service
