Staying there gave me a front‑row view of Kibo, the highest peak of Kilimanjaro, and the staff were genuinely warm, showing attention to every detail of their service; the owner turned out to be a talkative, creative type. The chefs impressed me too, cooking with fresh produce straight from their own farm, so nothing on the menu ever missed the mark. The downside was the core of the accommodation: the tent on the farm let out all sorts of animal noises at night and in the early hours, which didn’t bother me but could disturb light sleepers. I’ve heard the owner is now building some ear‑friendly mud houses that stay warm in winter and cool in summer, so I’m looking forward to those being finished soon.
