The hotel was really affordable. After switching rooms twice, the first was full of smoke and no fresh air, the second had dust and a large cockroach, two small ones, and after leaving and returning, two more large and three small. The room had only one outlet behind the TV. The third room finally had no smoke or cockroaches, but after leaving and coming back, a small cockroach appeared.

The location is great, within walking distance of a lively downtown. The room had a strong smoke smell, almost requiring a mask to sleep.

Honestly, I can’t find any positives about this place; we took a bus from Tainan TRA and the nearest stop is about a kilometer away, so it’s a tough walk—better to use an Uber or taxi if you’re lugging a lot of luggage. At check‑in, the lady who helped us kept laughing and waving her hand like she was mocking us; she couldn’t speak English well, making it hard to ask about laundry or where the water was. The room smelled musty and was untidy, old but that’s fine, yet the mold odor was really off-putting.
