“Poor Communication and Lack of Response”

I never actually stayed at the place. The host’s lack of communication was frustrating: I asked before booking whether the bed was single or double, got no reply, and only after booking learned there were two single beds. I was also told post‑booking that the accommodation was on the second floor without a lift and that the bathroom was on the first floor—information that should have been disclosed earlier. When my travel plans changed, I reached out well in advance to ask for a goodwill cancellation. No response came; the host asked me to call. I spoke with her, she promised to get back to me, but despite follow‑ups I never heard from her again, only automated check‑in reminders. The reservation was non‑refundable, but ignoring a guest’s messages is very disappointing and signals poor customer service. I would have liked at least a simple reply, even if cancellation wasn’t possible. Given this communication experience, I cannot recommend the host.

“Het was goed.”

The place was very clean and tidy, but we wanted to have breakfast upstairs and there was no fridge. Upstairs there was a coffee machine, downstairs none, so we had to bring the coffee downstairs to eat.

The host is a very interesting and friendly lady. The location is great, quietly situated with a beautiful garden, and you can reach the city and beaches quickly. The well‑equipped accommodation feels clean and cozy. My wife and I highly recommend it and thank her again for a wonderful time!
