The location was perfect, the staff were outstanding, the pool was spotless, and the room was immaculate; outside the room there was a cool antique collection that I liked.

The room was brightly colored with comfortable beds and close to the water and the center. The included breakfast consisted of a small bowl of sweetened cornflakes with milk, instant coffee and a glass of orange juice that wasn’t fresh, with no bread, yogurt, fruit, eggs, etc. The hot water boiler ran only a few hours a day, so after a long swim you couldn’t even get a warm shower, and the internet kept dropping out, which caused the owner to be unable to verify whether I had already paid the room online at booking, leading to a dispute.

The location was super close to the lagoon, an excellent spot. The breakfast was not worth it and there was a lot of noise at night because a nightclub is nearby.

The location was good and parking was almost in front of the room. The young hotel manager was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was a joke, with not even enough cutlery or coffee cups for two people, only three bananas, tiny yogurt cups, instant coffee, and a bit of cornflakes and milk for one person. The noisy split‑air from the room above was switched off after we complained, but the loud music from nearby venues was still a nuisance. We shortened our planned stay in this hotel room, and when the weather changed we moved on. It’s a shame because Bacalar is a great place and the lake is an experience.
