SELAVI feels like an oasis of calm and quiet, with a beautiful garden overlooking the Bentota river; the food is exceptional and comes in generous portions, the staff are friendly and even dropped us off at the beach in the morning for free, and we only paid a few hundred rupees to return in the evening – we loved it and will come back next year with friends. :-)

The on‑site guard was very friendly, but the riverside location sounded promising while the river could only be viewed through a glass wall, the grounds felt locked up and were guarded day and night; it was very remote, even from every TukTuk route, with no nearby infrastructure, food was delivered and tasted just the same.

The peaceful setting by the vast Bentota lake, the tasty food that is excellent, and the big portions.
