a peaceful stay. Nothing much to say

The room concept was amazing. I stayed in an air‑conditioned one‑bedroom unit (Bedonia) with a large wooden deck overlooking a private swimming pool, partially shielded from the public area by a see‑through barrier. The unit was at The Shorea Estate, a more exclusive section compared to The Shorea, which I had originally booked as a non‑air‑conditioned room. I was uneasy about the heat in Seramban, so the resort’s offer to upgrade me was welcome. The total cost was RM 884 for the night plus RM 190 for a four‑course dinner – steep for the region, but worth it. The deck had two reclining chairs, a dining table, a fridge, a tea/coffee station, and a water station. The pool was sparkling clean and well maintained, and the view of the mountains with natural trees and foliage was picture‑perfect. The shower was a large outdoor geyser that provided lovely hot water. The evenings were breezy and cool, letting us spend plenty of time on the deck. Breakfast the next day – nasi lemak – was very good, and the staff served it exactly at the requested time without prompting, which was amazing. Dinner was also served in the room, and a staff member suggested ordering beer through Grab, which arrived even in this remote area, so we ordered ice, beer, and ice cream. The WiFi, however, didn’t work despite a transmitter in the dining area – this needs fixing given the high charges. The sweet‑sour seabass dinner was not worth the price, though the presentation was nice and meals were conveniently served in the room. We had a lamp‑lit dinner on the deck table, which was special. Watch out for wildlife: we saw a wild cat, a big squirrel, and had to leave the deck late at night because of two fast‑moving bats. Tolerating the expected wildlife adds to the nature experience with modern amenities.

An exciting and memorable stay! We truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and serene views, making it the perfect little escape from our routine. We’re already looking forward to returning, this time with the whole family.

The environment is super good and we’re enjoying the place a lot, but everything needs improvement – maybe a small renovation – otherwise it isn’t worth the money for my stay.

Quiet. The equipment is a bit old.
