The farmstead’s meandering environment offered a pleasant escape from Johannesburg’s hustle and bustle, making it the perfect house for a girls’ trip; a short walk brought us to the Fable restaurant for an absolutely delicious breakfast, and I’m still thinking about the breakfast tacos and the cheesecake.

The stay was absolutely charming, with staff who were incredibly accommodating, rooms that were lovely, and food that was exceptional.

What a special place—every box was checked, from the spacious lounge and kitchen to the great showers; thanks to Linda and Busi, we had the best time, and the onsite restaurant and retail space are world‑class. However, the single beds could use firmer mattresses, as they’re not firm enough for an adult body.

I loved how quiet, and safe it is. It was very aesthetically appealing, rustic yet cute. The colour scheme was beautiful. Clean bedding and clean bathrooms are always a hit!! The gardens are dreamy, we enjoyed our walk. Linda is amazing, great customer service from her. 1. It is a 4 sleeper however no consideration of privacy given then the glass door doesn’t have blinds so the person sleeping on the sleeper couch is exposed to whoever is outside. 2. Consider having a small table with chairs for sitting outside. 3. Please add a shower head for the bathroom, not everyone enjoys sitting in the tub. 4. The bathroom door does not close from outside meaning the stays wide open the entire time, which is not ideal especially if someone has just used the toilet
