The location was good, close to shops, restaurants and public transport stops. The room we received wasn’t that small. The rooms were fairly clean, though a bit damaged and some areas unfortunately weren’t cleaned properly.

The hotel is in a super central spot, right in the famous Pontocho area surrounded by many bars, restaurants, and kombini. The facility also offers an onsen that is very clean, well maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Kyoto. Several bus stops are right nearby, making it easy to get around the city. The only flaw is the room size, which is too small.

The place was compact and tidy, which made it a great value for two women on a budget, and thanks to the advance notice we were placed in a quiet corner room on an upper floor to avoid noisy neighbours. They never gave any instructions about the bedding when we checked in.

The location is unbeatable, close to everything with a lot of atmosphere, ideal for a couple or friends, but also a great spot for family.

The location was convenient and there was a large public bath. Unfortunately, the bath’s cleanliness left much to be desired; I recall seeing a lot of hair floating on the water.
