The toilet was leaking so the floor in the bathroom got flooded; it was freezing when we arrived, the baby was cold and we couldn’t get the heater on for the night.

The price was great for what you get, the staff were kind and proactive, and the village is all about local food and service, but the big bad was uncomfortable and we had to change it; the bad for one is okay in that cottage, and the main road cars made noise.

The vibe and food were good, but we had booked a room that was always perfect for us, only to be told it wasn’t available without explanation and we were given an apartment instead—better than a room but not what we wanted, so we didn’t complain for just one night but didn’t enjoy it like usual.
