A bit hard to find, but very quiet; in nature on the side of the PT Canal and its old lock, a historic monument. The old house, renovated with a lot of taste, is very close to the Dutch border. The mattress should be improved and firmer.

The rural setting, friendly host(s), and classic experience were positives. The bed was a bit bouncy, and note: if you come from the station, you’ll need a bike to get there.

Personal contact was good, the location was very quiet in the green by the river, and both the room and the shared bathroom were very clean. The access road is not signposted; from the start of the main access road you have to ask for directions. While you can imagine it, there is actually nothing between the accommodation and the main area.

The house is almost on a private plot by a small stream; depending on which room you get, you’re surrounded by nature. The host is very friendly and brings breakfast to the room, with options for a small or large breakfast. It’s quiet in the surroundings. The bathroom is large and modern. If I’m drawn in that direction again, I’ll gladly come back. The rooms are very sound‑prone; I had noisy neighbours who talked loudly and for long periods, apparently until 0:00 h, which is common in old houses. I let them talk; I could have gone over and asked them to observe the quiet hours.
