The castle and the quiet were nice, yet the surrounding environment was dull, with no one offering anything in the garden behind the hotel during the day. The breakfast buffet was inconveniently located and the quality of the breakfast was mediocre.

The staff were extremely friendly and professional; the rooms were individually styled and very clean, and breakfast was good and varied. The dinner didn't quite meet our expectations in taste and variety, especially since the hotel is part of the Landlust Hotels group and we expected a higher standard of cuisine; apart from the hotel itself, we also found the surroundings not very attractive.

Everything from the surroundings to the interior design was well thought out, and staff helped with any questions or requests. The only downside was that the reception was only staffed from noon onwards.
