“Fine for overnight near the train station, but probably not for longer stays”
Perfect spot near the train station, helpful staff, and the continental breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced. It’s a typical three‑star place in Rome: rooms feel a bit cramped and worn, the lift can only take one person at a time and sometimes doesn’t work, and the A/C struggles on scorching days, among other issues.
The staff was friendly…sometimes, and the place had a charming vibe in some areas. The location was excellent. Breakfast was decent…but it stayed the same all week. The rooms looked much older than the photos—classic professional photo trick, but reality? Small dark caves. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen; when you use the toilet, the head has to be inside the shower. The communication before arrival was very annoying—exactly what you don’t want when traveling. The air conditioner made a horrible noise.
I liked the location a lot, very close to the terminal, which makes moving around the city easier, and the permanent air conditioning! It’s a huge relief to get into a cozy room when it’s 41 degrees outside! I think some maintenance could be done on the staircase areas; overall the hotel is old but everything works.
The hotel staff were among the kindest and most accommodating we’ve ever encountered.
“Otima”
Clean linens and towels, comfy bedding, and a great spot.
