The people and the hospitality culture were outstanding, making for a very satisfying trip, although the natural surroundings brought a lot of insects.

The meals were tasty and the onsen lovely, and the river view from the room was spectacular, but breakfast served both rice and udon in such large portions that it felt excessive.
