The owner is wonderful, the room was clean and quite spacious, a kettle and tea were in the room, the fan worked well, and we had access to a pool at a nearby property; we also enjoyed a safari tour organized by the owner that matched our needs. Everything was fine :)

Just a 3‑minute walk to shops, restaurants, and the ATM; the monkeys in the courtyard pool were refreshing, staff are fantastic—so good! I have nothing negative to add; the staff are reachable via WhatsApp if you need anything but they give you plenty of space.

The room price, compared to the photos and ratings, convinced us to book. We were disappointed by the road noise and the complete lack of soundproofing between our room and the host’s apartment, so we left after one night. The welcome was good, we booked the safari with them and the breakfast was satisfactory. The pool is on the other side of the road, a 5‑minute walk away. There’s nothing to do on site; the village is tiny. The noise was annoying.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and the safari turned out to be the best experience – the driver was friendly, explained a lot, and respected the animals, just what we wanted. The room is comfortable and the breakfast is the best we’ve had in all of Sri Lanka! The location is good too, very close to the city centre and the national park – would definitely recommend. There was a small misunderstanding: the booking said check‑in was at 11 am, but the owner said it was only at 1 pm. We had to wait a bit for them to prepare our room, which they did quickly – not a big issue, just make sure you confirm the timing beforehand.
