“A clean and well-located stay with very good restaurant food and lovely staff, but with disappointing breakfast and inte”

We had a good stay. The property was clean and well located. The restaurant food was very good and the staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and welcoming. We didn’t enjoy the breakfast because the selection was very limited, most items didn’t look fresh except the scrambled eggs we ordered, and the price didn’t match the quality. Also, the advertised high‑speed internet turned out to be quite slow.

Free parking in the courtyard, a nice spacious and well‑equipped room, free coffee and tea on the floor, a modern elevator, restaurants with various rooms and ambience, a nice menu, neat service and varied dishes, efficient and friendly service, a good breakfast with an excellent braid. Luckily the shutters were closed before our arrival, because without air conditioning the temperature was high. The reception provided a fan. At breakfast there were no eggs and plain yoghurt was added on request.

“Mooi hotel met historie en erg ruime nette kamers.”

The rooms were spacious and modern despite the building’s history. The glass room door, along with the original old wooden doors inside, added a nice touch to preserve the building’s character. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly. There was also a great restaurant for a bite in the evening. The beds could have been a bit firmer.

“absolut zu empfehlen, würde hier sofort mit meiner Familie hinfahren.”

The staff were very friendly, the concept of a hotel that doubles as a cultural centre right in the town centre is great, and the restaurant is excellent. The only downside was that the coffee machine in the hallway made a bit of noise from 6 am onwards.

“Bien”

I have to start by praising the exceptional friendliness of the staff and the very good food at the restaurant. The room was adequate, nothing special, and the bathroom was inconvenient because there was nothing to put your stuff on, though it was very quiet. Parking was available. We stayed for two nights (Friday evening and Saturday evening). On Saturday morning we were told that the cleaning lady would not come that day, so there was no housekeeping—though linen changes were still offered. Breakfast was very simple: no eggs, no fruit or fruit salad, and on Sunday we didn’t even get croissants because there was no delivery. All of this happened without any discount on the 412 frs price, nor any small commercial gesture for a coffee or dessert since we ate at the hotel both evenings. We pay, so we expect the services.
