We loved staying here; the house was charming and suited our group of six nicely. A gift basket of treats arrived with us, the fridge had basic supplies, fans were in the bedrooms, and the jacuzzi was a welcome treat after our long walks. The main living area had air‑conditioning, but the bedrooms—especially the loft—got quite hot and stuffy, though that probably isn’t a problem most of the year.

The staff were very nice and helpful, the beds were cosy, and there were some great spots for a family dinner and gathering—a nice outside dining area, a beautiful garden that was breathtaking. Everything was very clean and had all the amenities, and I personally liked the decor as well.

The location works well for sightseeing and the little village even has a shop, plus the house is nicely decorated with a garden and plenty of conveniences, but the building is an old one that’s only been renovated (you can still see the pre‑renovation view on Google Maps). A huge problem is the damp, mouldy smell – our clothes soaked up the mildew and kept reeking after four washes and airing out, and we’re still battling it. Another downside is the admin side – I still haven’t received an invoice for the stay despite several messages to the owner and a complaint through the booking site.

The accommodation is very luxurious, tastefully decorated, larger than the photos show, with a beautiful courtyard, a magnificent covered spa, very new and very clean. It’s superbly equipped – everything is brand new and of high quality – and there are many small thoughtful touches like an umbrella. It has air conditioning and fans. It’s very well located, especially for the north, east and centre. The only downside is that outside in the courtyard there was a sewage odor coming from a spot on the ground, which was unpleasant. The property is close to a busy road, but you only hear cars when you’re outside. The sound insulation is excellent.
