We were greeted very warmly and had breakfast every morning (I think you have to order it extra). We were traveling with our dog and the location was perfect for walks. It’s very close to the Baggersee, where there’s a good restaurant, and overall we liked Friedberg.

The location is good, within walking distance of town, but the property is very tired, needs refurbishment, and seemed to have many long‑term residents. The restaurant is permanently closed.

The location was fine, but the building was very old, with cobwebs on the ceiling, no staff reachable on weekends, the carpet was grossly dirty, a smoking balcony was right in front of our window, and it felt like a shelter for refugees or workers. For just staying to visit friends nearby it was acceptable, but the standard is terribly low.

The breakfast had to be ordered in advance, and nobody seemed to think it was needed; instead, they suggested driving to IHLE Bakers, which is reachable by car. The staff were almost unreachable, and no one answered the phone number. The hotel felt worn out. The toilet wasn’t clean, the flush worked poorly, the sink had splashes, the carpet was worn, and cleaning was sporadic. The sheets had holes, there was a strong cannabis smell, the window paint had peeled, the décor was bland, and the grounds were untidy. On the bright side, there were hotel soap and shower gel.
