The blue room is very pretty, decorated with a lot of care and detail. The staff were charming and attentive. Breakfast was simple but delicious at a café next to the cathedral. The only downside is the access to the room via a small, narrow spiral staircase.

The location is central and convenient for Gerace’s center, but the staircase light turns off immediately; I need to extend the time it stays on.

It was okay, not terrible, but: the flat was dirty – bed linens, mattress, and stained pillows were all dirty. The host listed the wrong location; it’s not near the northern parking lot as shown, which was why I booked it. From there it’s a 5‑minute walk, but you have to go through about 70 % of the village. When I told the host, the conversation turned sour. Not an issue for us, but note that our room is up a very, very narrow rotating staircase, making it hard to bring suitcases up, especially for a lady.

The welcome was excellent, communication smooth, the spot and the facilities great, and there was nothing to complain about.
