I booked a room that was huge, but the bathroom only had a tub and no shower.

There was nothing positive to mention; the place was full of drunken guests who couldn't sleep and should have been removed.

“Tranquil but within interesting locations”

Located on a leafy lane yet within all the amenities of an ancient village, with history. Close to other historical sites. The host was overwhelmingly polite and helpful. I’ve stayed before and will go again. Highly recommended.

“Calming, relaxing, friendly environment.”

I really liked the location—calm and quiet. The caretaker was very helpful and friendly, making me feel very welcome. There was nothing I didn’t like.

“A stopover after arriving at Harwich Harbour, idea location before onward travel!”

It’s a slightly older property but has had subtle upgrades, so it has nice modern additions in the rooms while still keeping its original style. Very peaceful location, away from main roads, and private parking on site. In the early morning there was a lovely surprise in the garden! The hosts were very helpful and considerate. It was slightly noisy with other visitors, but nothing the hosts could do about it; they’re aware and genuinely apologetic about anything that may disturb your stay.
