The only thing that worked was the location. The experience was utterly disappointing: the photos on the site don’t match the room we stayed in. The building is old, but the furnishings are the real issue—lack of care, maintenance and cleanliness. We found dust buildup, stained and worn carpet, damaged doors and baseboards, rough finishes, and a very dated bathroom with obvious wear. Even the electrical outlets are ancient. Breakfast was mediocre, and the presence of flies made it unpleasant. I didn’t expect luxury, but cleanliness, decor and upkeep are fundamental for any hotel, especially when it charges 95 euros a night, not exactly cheap. The gap between the website images and reality is huge. I felt it necessary to document this so future guests are aware. The only positives were the location and the staff’s politeness.
