The daytime calm, nature, food…the dives are beautiful, thanks to Matthias for his kindness. There was a lack of information on outings, the room was outdated, and at night the air‑conditioners’ motors made a loud noise (impressive). The pool wasn’t usable (dirty). No room service, no towel changes, cold water, and no network in the rooms.

The best accommodation experience on Mo'yo Island! Blue Emocean feels like a hidden paradise in the forest. Andrew and his team are very welcoming and professional. The highlight is that you can walk straight to the hotel pier for world‑class snorkeling; the coral reefs are amazing! Plus the cute dogs (Dottie), kittens, and turtles bring a joyful, homely vibe. The room is clean, the bed very comfortable, and the food delicious. If you’re looking for a quiet, natural, and friendly spot, this is it. Highly recommended!

We loved the remote location that lets you unwind, and the activities were great – we snorkeled twice and did four dives with Mathias, spotting sharks and many fish; he even filmed us with his GoPro. Andrew, Mathias and the team were super friendly and handled everything, which is amazing for such a secluded spot. Breakfast and dinner were good, especially the Nasi Goreng Tempeh. Andrew housed us in his newly built villa with sea view, which was really fancy, with thoughtful details like lamps and an outdoor bath, plus a pool area with loungers. From the pier we could see the Milky Way and many stars, and the sunsets were legendary; we could even spot lantern fish when the tide came in at night. The locals are a different story when it comes to transport and money – you have to stand your ground or you’ll end up paying a lot extra. We paid 1.7 million for the boat to the island and got 1.5 million back; the waterfall entrance was supposed to be 150k per person, but we paid that for two people, which was fine.

The vibe is cool and friendly thanks to Andrew, Camille and Mathias. The rooms are spacious, very nicely decorated, and spotlessly clean. Food is divine. The dives are spectacular with guides who speak French and English and know the local ecosystem well; the reefs and marine diversity are gorgeous. There are dogs, a cat and even a cute turtle. It’s a place where time stops and you can just relax. However, each room lacks a broom and there isn’t really a beach to swim; you need shoes or to climb down a ladder at the end of the pier.
