The location is good, but nobody smiles at you. My bedside lamp caught fire at night, which was scary. It looks big on the outside but isn’t good value for money. There’s a phone in the room but no reception number, and no instructions are provided in English.

The rooms were really nice, clean, and spacious; I liked the lobby with its fish tank, sofas, and a few sea views. The restaurant food was very good, and the location made it easy to walk to all the main sites and great eateries. They even prepared a nice packed lunch for us because we had to leave before breakfast. The pool was a bit cold, the bridge to the beach was slippery and a little risky, and when we arrived an hour early they wouldn’t let us check in—this was the only place in Kazakhstan where that happened, and I expected a hotel of this size to handle it better. They also took a while to respond to my messages about an airport transfer.

The interior sea‑view room offered great scenery, and walking to the back of the hotel takes you straight into the Caspian area with pleasant views; the room was large, the bedding was light yet warm, and the stay was comfortable. The revolving staircase inside the hotel is also a highlight, and before leaving I bought some nice clothes. The front‑desk staff could just smile a bit more to meet five‑star standards.

The facilities and location were fabulous, and the breakfasts offered a wide variety of good options. What really set this hotel apart were the staff—they were so welcoming and helpful! Nothing to complain about.
