“Insecure and very disappointing”

The basics were okay for a solo traveler, and the room was tidy even though I was exhausted. However, the Velux window was broken and I couldn’t lock it; the frame was rotten and dampness was visible near the ceiling, suggesting a leak. Anyone with roof access could easily enter the property. There was no fridge, which is essential in this type of accommodation. The outer door lacks an auto‑close system, and when I returned around 9.30 pm on Tuesday the main entrance was wide open with no sign of other guests. I had to climb to the first floor to reach my room, which was unsettling. I would advise women against staying here and, after just two nights, I won’t be back.

The room was lovely, and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful, making for a wonderful stay that I’d book again. There were no problems whatsoever.

“A complete and utter pleasant surprise”

An absolute gem. A community pub/guest accommodation which is top class from the welcoming staff to the restaurant and pub bar. I would totally recommend this place to anyone in the area. Very comfortable bedroom with excellent facilities. Nothing
