I gave it a generous score because most aspects of the hotel deserve it, and I wanted to be fair. The two‑bedroom suites were roomy, well equipped, and extremely clean. The resort sits on the edge of the town centre, giving you the best of both worlds: a short walk to amenities yet a quiet, rural feel. Unfortunately, contractors were on site during our stay; two of our three rooms had balconies fenced off. After we complained we were moved to rooms with balcony access, but the balcony floors felt rotten. The contractors were very noisy from very early and much of the outside was occupied by their equipment. The hotel did not inform us of this beforehand or reduce our room charge, which left the stay disappointing.

The rooms were large, clean, and had a balcony. They were so close to the village and free from all the noise. The staff were lovely and helpful, and I would stay there again.
