Casbah Formentera Hotel & Restaurant

The location, the friendliness of the staff, and the atmosphere were great, but the lighting in the rooms was a bit weak.

The room, the little cottages that make up the rooms, and especially the terrace on the top floor were a pleasure to be in, reading, sunbathing, relaxing…an intimate space that was fantastic. The pool looked outdated, the pool fences that separate the kids’ area were horrible, and the artificial grass in the breakfast area was very ugly and didn’t match the tasteful style of the cottages and rooms.

At first the staff were a bit reserved, but they became warmer and more welcoming each day; the rooms are dimly lit but tastefully decorated and functional. The kitchenette is a nice touch, yet the only amenities were two bottles of water. I had to ask for a coffee machine, which the team gladly supplied, and note that yoga mats aren’t available to borrow.

“Descanso y paz”

The calm that permeates the whole property, its cleanliness, the buffet and à la carte breakfast, and the surroundings were all wonderful, but what we loved most was the staff’s excellent treatment, always smiling and eager to make us feel at home. They are all exceptional professionals! We’ll definitely return. The only downside was that the pool had a lot of chlorine.
