The breakfast and espresso were delicious, with a huge selection of sweet and healthy options, cold cuts, cheese, muesli, great eggs and sausages – perfect for a weekend morning – and the staff were pleasant and helpful, the Wi‑Fi was very good, the linens clean, towels changed regularly and bins emptied, plus the large, comfortable parking and quiet atmosphere despite occasional hotel events that were announced in advance; however, on the first day a huge fly landed on the big breakfast table and killed my appetite, although later days were fine, I had to clean the sink and mirror myself during the two‑week stay because housekeeping didn’t include them, there were piles of trash outside the window near the church area, and the artificial hallway scents were overwhelming for someone with allergies.
The place was downright terrible, more like a motel; the bathroom had multiple broken things – shower cabinet doors, the toilet seat and a shelf – and part of the power socket in the room didn’t work while one bedside lamp wouldn’t even turn on; the towels were torn and stained, the breakfast was unappealing, and I can’t understand how this hotel got an 8.9 rating on the booking site – we would give it a 1.
