I’m writing to formally complain about our extremely disappointing stay at Hyatt House Irvine/John Wayne Airport on August 8, 2026, and to request a full refund because the room was in an unacceptable condition and the front desk did not respond after we reported the problems. My family and I came from San Diego to Irvine for a pleasant night, expecting the quality and cleanliness typical of the Hyatt brand, but it turned out to be one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Reservation details: Guest Name: Ziad Abou, Hotel: Hyatt House Irvine/John Wayne Airport, Address: 2320 Main Street, Irvine, CA 92614, Check‑in: August 8, 2026 at approximately 3:00 PM, Room Type: 1 King Studio Suite with Sofa Bed and Kitchen, Reservation Number: 5415710962, Room Charge: $201.89, Parking: $28.00, Total Paid: $229.89. The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived; the refrigerator was not working; the freezer was full of water and had a dirty ice cube container; we had to clean the refrigerator and freezer ourselves just to use them; even the bed sheets did not look clean, making us uncomfortable sleeping. We reported all these issues to the front desk during our stay, but nothing meaningful was done. We traveled from San Diego with my wife and son hoping for a comfortable night away from home, yet we spent part of our stay dealing with a dirty room and a non‑functioning refrigerator/freezer, and felt our concerns were ignored.
It was very clean and the room was super comfortable, located in a great area, and my apartment‑style room had everything needed to cook and eat.
