“A beautiful hotel in a great location, but a few frustrating issues stopped it from being as relaxin”
The hotel itself looked stunning and the spot was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to get a gorgeous sea view even though we hadn’t booked a sea‑view room. When we checked in, we were told our room was actually in a separate building next door; that building still looked nice, but the room didn’t match the photos we saw online. Being in a different building also meant there was no 24‑hour reception, which I would have preferred. The biggest annoyance was the constant fight over sun loungers. Early in the morning most of them were already “reserved” with towels, even though no one was around. Some days we couldn’t find a lounger at all and had to pay extra for beach loungers. Whole groups would reserve loungers all day, often not showing up until late afternoon. What made it worse is that reserving loungers is actually against the hotel’s rules, yet the staff never enforced it and just watched it happen. It really impacted our stay, because every morning we were stressed about whether we’d actually find a spot by the pool—something we, like every other guest, had paid to use. The food was okay, but I’d have liked more variety and more meat options; most of the meat was pork, which I can’t eat, even the lasagne and bolognese could have been beef.
