The villa was stunningly authentic, with only six rooms each having its own entrance, preserving complete privacy. It offered direct beach access, a well‑maintained and cozy grounds with landscaped design, plenty of loungers and beach umbrellas, and an incredibly responsive, heartfelt staff ready to help with any request. The on‑site restaurant offered menu choices, and the New Year celebration organized by the villa staff was a pleasant surprise: delicious food and a traditional show. The owner’s compliment included a luxurious seafood lunch with local delicacies, and we received thoughtful gifts on departure. Heryuni, Chatmalla, and the whole team were amazing—our stay felt unforgettable, truly like home!

The place was huge, almost like our own hotel, and the staff were the best; the curries were the best we’d had on the trip, and everything was comfortable and clean. We expected a single villa but found six hotel‑style rooms open to the outside, so we couldn’t keep our young kids in separate rooms; we ended up using only three of the six large rooms. We might have chosen a cheaper option, but we’re glad we discovered this family‑run villa and stayed here. I’ll let others know that if they’re traveling with kids, the kids will end up sharing a room.

I stayed at Samudra Villa, a beautiful and historically interesting house with a quiet stretch of beachfront and a well‑maintained lovely garden. The spacious room opened onto two sections of the expansive garden. The bed was comfortable, water pressure was good, and there was a tea/coffee station, free WiFi, and cable TV. The staff were hospitable, kind, and friendly. It was my first time traveling with a pet, which can be stressful, but the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Samudra Villa has set a high standard that will be hard to beat. I appreciate the hospitality of the owner, Sanath, and the hard work of the staff, Roshan, Diana, Irosha, Dasun, and Rishan.
