The hosts were very friendly, the mattresses were good, the apartment had plenty of space, the décor was tasteful, and it was relatively central. Every night it was super loud until 5 am because the party area is right outside the door (best to join in). On my second night there was no towel on the bed, the bathroom bins were full, and the beds weren’t freshly made. There was no reception at check‑in, only an online description. The apartment doors were always open, so the rooms were essentially accessible to everyone. The women’s dorm was more expensive than the mixed dorm (someone must have decided that).

The cleaning lady was really diligent. But once you get past the main building entrance, there’s no lock at all for the hostel or dorm rooms. I arrived late, couldn’t find anyone at reception, and had no luck reaching them on WhatsApp. Another guest pointed me toward the female dorm and I just walked in. No sign on the door, no instructions. They even posted the passkey in the Q&A here. Self‑service is fine, but that doesn’t mean keeping all doors open and sharing the passcode on the Internet.

Communa Good Vibes has potential. The rooms are roomy and the property stays clean, which gives a solid base for a good hostel experience. But several serious flaws keep it from a high rating. Security is a big issue. The street‑level door was often left open, and the main door to the hostel on the third floor doesn’t lock at all. There’s no consistent reception presence or meaningful security oversight. One night an unknown person from the street was sleeping on the common sofa. When I told the owner, there was no response or action. Under these conditions, the risk of theft feels real and only a matter of time. In the 6‑bed dorm, only two lockers had working latches. I raised this with the owner on the first day; his reply was simply “let me think.” No solution was offered for the rest of my stay. Other problems went unaddressed. The guest in the bunk above me behaved disrespectfully by having another person sleep with him in his bunk in the shared dorm. Reporting this also got no response. On my last day I learned that another guest had overstayed his booking by three nights with no apparent consequence. The facilities and cleanliness show that this hostel could be strong. Management’s lack of responsiveness on basic safety, privacy, and operational issues undermines that potential. Guests worried about security and accountability should weigh these factors carefully before booking.

“Großzügiger sauberer Altbau nachts laut”

Everything was very generous, new, clean, and charming. The beds and mattresses were excellent. At night the area around the house is a party zone, so it’s loud.

The hostel is very beautiful and in a nice area full of restaurants and bars. The rooms are big and there is a lot of storage space. It is very noisy at night, as bars in the street play music until about 4 am. You can either join the party or bring earplugs ;)
