Even though it’s a youth hostel, the experience was very good: one person per room, no disturbances, plenty of toilets and showers with almost no wait time. The other guests were of high quality and polite. Most importantly, transport was convenient—there’s a supermarket downstairs, a metro station right outside, and a small park nearby. The staff answered every question and even helped me contact a day‑tour company, solving many first‑time‑visitor issues in Almaty. The breakfast was a bit simple; more variety would be nice.

I booked a four‑night stay at this large hostel near the metro, where I slept in a wooden capsule with a sliding side door. Inside, there was a moderately bright lamp, a shelf, three outlets, and a hook; the linens were clean and a towel was provided. The hostel gives a pair of simple slippers per day. There’s a dining area with a microwave, dishes, and free tea and coffee. One room contains eight capsules and an electronic keypad entrance; each capsule has its own electronic lockable locker. Breakfast is included and features a two‑egg omelet with sliced sausages and porridge. The front desk printed a QR‑code registration in five minutes and directed me to WhatsApp. A coworking area and Wi‑Fi are available. Laundry is operational until 10 p.m., and a iron with a board is supplied. Common areas are cleaned daily, and they offered to change the capsule linens. Everything is very quiet and peaceful, with no drunken guests. Nearby are a café and several mini‑bakeries. The only downside is that during peak hours the water isn’t always warm enough.

The location is great, the bed is wide, breakfast is included, and the staff are polite. I have no particular complaints, but it would be nice if there were a women‑only bathroom; overall, it would be great if there were a separate one for women.

“Nice hostel would stay again”

The staff were helpful, breakfast was basic but nice. It seemed a little run‑down. Showers were quite dirty. Beds were very squeaky and, although I know it’s not the staff’s fault, people in the hostel rooms were very noisy, making it hard to sleep.
