“Excellent value short-stay accommodation”

The location is perfect for visiting Chester Zoo and the wider area, including RSPB Burton Mere, and we liked having three pubs nearby for evening meals, especially the Brewers Arms that served Indian food, a nice change from the usual pub fare. The ensuite room on the top floor was small but tidy and comfortable, and the tabletop fan was a lifesaver in the heat. Having the kitchen available for breakfast prep was handy, and we also enjoyed drinks in the garden later on. The pre‑arrival instructions about access were clear, and the accommodation offers excellent value for money. Our two‑night stay overlapped with the World Cup semi‑finals, but we weren’t disturbed by any noise inside or outside the property. The description of the property can be misleading at times, especially regarding what’s provided in rooms versus communally. For instance, a photo of a breakfast tray in the ensuite made it seem like the room had coffee‑making facilities, but the tray actually has to be carried up two flights from the kitchen on the ground floor. Likewise, a hairdryer isn’t guaranteed, as a previous guest might have left it in another locked bedroom.

What a lovely place to stay. It’s close to the city, the zoo, and three local pubs. The bus stop across the road takes you straight to the city centre, so it’s super convenient. Parking was great, with no issues. The host gave clear instructions. I’d definitely recommend it.
