I was struck by the beautiful setting with green spaces and gorgeous trees that attract local wildlife, and a robin would sing every day and evening, making me smile. It was great to have my own hot tub available anytime during the day or evening up to 10 pm. The location was convenient for accessing local facilities, the stunning loch and its islands, the boatyard just a short distance away, and the visitor centre car park right next to it where you can get more info and start walks (I managed the very short walk so I could join in). The accommodation was good, featuring an oven, fridge/freezer, and a lovely balcony with bi‑fold doors. I stayed in Kestrel #9, where the balcony faces the water and offers lovely scenes and skyscapes in the morning and evening. I also appreciated the loungers and picnic benches in the green communal spaces, which I used after the hot tub and between dips. It was a peaceful spot to enjoy and say hi to other residents if you wanted. The paths leading to the accommodation could be smoother; my trolley went over a dip where the paths joined, with a piece of wood making it difficult to get over, so adding some slopes or ramp‑type additions in certain spots would help make transitions smoother.

The location was great, and the lodges were cosy and beautiful. Nothing else.

The place is stunning; we booked two nights and, after staying them, wanted another. Josephine arranged for us to move to another apartment, and nothing was too much trouble. The place was spotless, and it was my husband's birthday, so they even put banners and balloons for us. We will definitely be back soon and have already recommended it to friends and family.
