The location was good, but the lobby was noisy, the layout was confusing, and the rooms could have been better maintained.

The hotel offers a unique setting inside the still‑active Memphis train station, and the vibe is really nice, but the negatives outweigh the positives, especially for a price of almost €250 a night. Service and reception: even before the stay, the hotel ignored our emails. When we arrived at 4 am to drop off our luggage, the receptionist seemed quite cold, making us feel like a nuisance; she preferred to switch between her phone and a short nap instead of clearing the glasses left in the lobby. The same happened at 3 pm for check‑in: the welcome was mediocre. Cleanliness and maintenance: at 4 am the men's toilets in the lobby were already out of order (toilet flush broken, bowl full). In the room, the curtain was torn, the shower tiles were peeling, the shower gel was empty, and to top it off, a hair stuck to the front door with a suspicious substance. We reported this hygiene issue to reception, who clearly didn’t care: the shower gel was replaced, but the hair stayed glued to the door the whole stay.

“Overpriced for the location”

The room was clean, though very small, and comfortable; the bar was nice and the staff were helpful, but it was too expensive for what it offered, and I could have stayed at The Peabody for $30 more; the area felt sketchy, parking was pricey, and breakfast was not included.
